The 74th anniversary of liberation during the Second World War is celebrated in Odessa today. On April 10, 1944, during the Odessa operation, the troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, under the command of Army General R. Malinovsky, with the assistance of the Black Sea Fleet forces, completely liberated Odessa from the German and Romanian occupiers.

Wreath laying ceremonies were held at Alley of Glory in the Shevchenko park, at the 411th battery Memorial, on the 1oth April Square. On Dumskaya square at 17:00 the fifth annual festival “Spring Odessa” was held, and brass bands performed in all districts of the city .
