March 17 St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in the center of Odessa. The celebration began with a flashmob near Duke monument, then lovers of Ireland and Irish dancing, as well as all the sympathizers, marched with dancing, parading on Deribasovskaya street to the City Garden. There, in the rotunda, the festival continued, with performances of the Jolly’s musical group and incendiary dances. Random passers-by joined the dancing with great pleasure or took pictures with the attributes of the “green” day. Fortunately, the weather on Saturday was perfect, although by the evening it was raining (which again, quite Irish).
St. Patrick’s Day, the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated annually on March 17, in Ireland and countries with the Irish diaspora around the world. Attributes of the holiday – wearing green, the national color of Ireland, as well as the symbol of the country – the shamrock. In Odessa, this spring holiday is celebrated for the 9th time, and it can be said that it becomes a tradition.
